message to yo bro - when you come here, please see that the street signs are not on the corner of everystreet, they are actually on the side of the buildings. and sometimes the building isn't in sight, so they put it on the corner of the fence!?! weird! just wanted to give you a heads up. love ya! sissy
Ok . We were lucky to find a hotel on the main street in Edinburgh "Royal Mile". There are tons of shops, cafes, churches, and pubs, and several museums. At one end is the Queen's official residence in Scotland. Holyrood Palace is just beautiful; the gardens are in bloom and the old trees are enormous. We toured the palace, then we had lunch at the cafe in the palace's grounds. Melissa was ever so kind and kept offering to take pictures for the other tourists. Melinda was taking pictures of us and Martin of course was having fun taking pictures of the girls taking pictures of this and that. I saw a statue of a man made in 1168, that is the oldest thing I have ever seen; just incredible. We also went to a museum where every room had a fire place and some of the rooms had two fire places; one on each end. One of the rooms had 1800's costumes so Melinda and Melissa put then on (picture will follow later). Martin and I went to have a nice dinner at this restaurant where the legend says that the Union Treaty between England and Scotland was signed, while Melissa and Melinda dressed themselves pretty and they went to either a pub or a club not sure they will tell me tomorrow or may be not ( LOL). by Mirian
